GLJ Contracts Ltd were instructed to carry out the renovation of 2 units on the Carnival Park Estate, the works taking place included stripping out of both units, general maintenance works, which involved cleaning of the roof, and treating the roof against erosion. Works also involved the installation of new rooflights for both units. Elevation cladding works also took place alongside this.

Other external works also took place, with the hardstanding being cleaned and repainted to bring new life to the outside of the unit, with this it also became necessary to repaint the line marking for the car parking spaces on the tarmac.

The warehouses also undertook works to improve the look of the internals of the unit, mainly with the new epoxy coated floors throughout the warehouse area. Decorative works also took place both internally and externally, with the walls & floors all undergoing repainting works, these works also took place in the units offices and WC’s with updates being made throughout.

Works to update the electrical systems in both units also took place, with a new emergency lighting system being installed within each unit, With this came upgrades to the other electrical systems to the unit with the fire alarm which was newly installed

Some other works that took place included the installation of an entire new AC system, including installing heat recovery MVHR units, Installation and commissioning of new extraction ventilation, Installation of completely new panel heaters and repairs to the sectional shutter doors outside each unit

Refurbishments took place to the office kitchenettes and WC’s with all undertaking updates to their plumbing systems, brand new shower systems being installed in each unit. New tiling works took place in both areas, along with new suspended ceilings being installed throughout here and the offices as a whole

The offices themselves also undertook works to refurbish them, including the decorations previously mentioned, along with new floor coverings being installed, these being carpets in the office areas, and vinyl flooring withing the WC’s and Kitchenettes.
