2015-16 Staffordshire University undertook a £40 million makeover of its main campus and facilities on College Road, Stoke-On-Trent to accommodate an additional 2000 plus students. The redevelopment scheme included construction of a complete new building housing a cafe and teaching suites along with a full and modern refurbishment of the Universities existing Mellor, Cadman and Flaxman Buildings.

Working under Thomas Vale Construction part of the Bouygues Group, GLJ were employed to provide contract services throughout the ongoing refurbishment phases. Works instructed included procurement and installation of acoustic and glazed partitioning, dry-lining and plastering packages, suspended ceiling installations, fire stopping and specialist carpentry and joinery works including bespoke door sets and IPS washrooms systems.
