GLJ Contracts Ltd were instructed to carry out renovation works on the former Rivus Building on the New Hythe Business Park, the works taking place included stripping out of the unit, Infilling the former vehicle inspection pits, and repairing of the warehouse floor, which then undertook redecoration works to follow.

Some other major works included repairs to the cladding elevations, with this was also the replacement of the outer roofing sheets on the unit, along with the installation of new rooflights, guttering and downpipes, also installed was a band new PV system, installed to help reduce the carbon footprint of the unit as much as possible. All of this also came with the installation of a brand new man-safe system to ensure the safety of any future operatives on the roof for maintenance or repairs

Throughout the entire units warehouse and office area, redecoration works took place, with the entire unit undergoing painting works along with new epoxy coated floors being installed throughout the warehouse, carpeting being installed within the office areas, and vinyl flooring being installed in the WC’s and the kitchenette areas. Along with this was the entire suspended ceiling system, which was stripped out and replaced to again bring back more life into the unit.

Works to update the electrical systems within the unit also took place, with new LED lights being installed, along with a new emergency lighting system being inside the unit, With this also came upgrades to the other electrical systems to the unit with new panel heaters being installed, the ac system being revamped. and the extraction ventilation systems also being updated.

The WC’s and kitchenette themselves also undertook major renovations, the sanitary wares being completely replaced along with updates to the plumbing systems, including the installation of a brand new shower within the unit.

Other works to the unit included the testing, servicing and repairs of all sectional shutter doors on the front of the unit, these were also repainted both internally and externally to bring them back to the same standard as the rest of the unit.

Aside from this there were also works to install brand new EV chargers to the outside of the unit, along with cleaning & repair works that were undertaken to the drainage system for the building.
